Global HostAgent Log Level (Config.HostAgent.log.level) Does Not Control Other HostAgent Log Levels
It appears as though the other log levels (Config.HostAgent.level[Hbrsvc].logLevel, Config.HostAgent.level[Hostsvc].logLevel, Config.HostAgent.level[Proxysvc].logLevel, Config.HostAgent.level[Snmpsvc].logLevel. Config.HostAgent.level[Statssvc].logLevel, Config.HostAgent.level[Vcsvc].logLevel, Config.HostAgent.level[Vimsvc].logLevel, and Config.HostAgent.level[Vmsvc].logLevel) are configured to go by the global HostAgent log level, but they do not. One has to manually go into each one and set the desired log level.
This is made more difficult in the Web Client, since they have no initial value, and right clicking on each will not allow editing. One must select each key, then click on the Edit... icon above them.
I am on VMware ESXi 6.5.0 build-4564106.
Does anyone else see this behavior? If so, is there a proper place to open bug tickets for ESXi 6.5? I've never done so.

Configuring VMWare Player 12 for Windows to Support an Android (x86) 64 bit Guest System
Does anyone know how to configure VMWare Player 12 to properly support an Android (x86) guest system? There are problems getting the video to work correctly, recognition of a mouse and a network adapter every time I attempt to install an Android client.

I'm considering reverting the vcenter plugin to the one I saved before I updated to avoid these issues I'm having (and some workflow elements feel slower than when I was on 6.0.4 but I don't know if it's the vcenter plugin or the 7.2 that caused slowness)
I think (???) the new vcenter plugin makes changes to workflows so can I reinstall the old plugin and will it overwrite any workflows with older version or am I stuck with the new plugin? (I still have my snapshot/db backup from before the vRO upgrade a few days ago if I need to roll back to that and then redo the upgrade without the new vcenter plugin assuming it won't completely screw up vcenter because of hooks that have changed and I don't have a vcenter snapshot)

Copy paste from local machine into virtual machine on remote desktop
Hi,
My work set up a Windows 7 computer in our server room that runs a virtual machine w/ Mac OS so that I can use Sketch.
To access what I need, I connect to the server room computer via remote desktop. On the remote computer, I then run VMware 12 to run MacOS.
The problem is that when I try to copy something from my local desktop (text, image, whatever), & paste it into the virtual machine on the remote desktop, it doesn't work.
I can copy from local & paste it to the remote desktop and THEN copy-paste it into the virtual machine from there. But I can't copy-paste directly from my local machine to the virtual desktop.
Any ideas on how to get around this? Does my explanation even make sense?

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm interested in hearing more about your install of Adobe CC products via appstacks DeCe1. We have Adobe Creative Cloud 2017 apps installed via an appstack on our Windows 10 machines and performance is unbearable--specifically for InDesign and Illustrator 2017. However, if you open the program using right-click "run as administrator", the program works pretty well. This is not an ideal solution for us and am curious how you installed your Adobe CC apps. Create a brand new Windows 2012 R2 VM with C: drive = 200Gb as a system drive. (do not update Windows right away)
Then attach D: drive = 11TB to the above mentioned VM from a current VM.

Re: Odd mouse jumping issue with vmware vsphere web client remote console
I am not sure if this is related, but I am on VMware ESXi 6.5.0 build-4564106 and the default little WebClient console window as well as the VMRC console window would do this if vmtools were not installed on the VM. Once vmtools were installed, this behavior stopped only in the VMRC console window, but still occurs in the WebClient console popup or tab.
My mouse behavior sounds slightly different in that it jumps hard to the left, right, top, and bottom edges, and cannot be moved away from those edges. This requires some keyboard hotkey wizardry for installation of the OSes. BTW, this happens regardless of OS on the VM and regardless of hardware. I have experienced it in my home environment as well as in every cluster at work, all with different host hardware.
But, you say you have vmtools installed and are using the VMRC. It may have been an old bug in <6.5 (still not completely fixed in 6.5)?

Ensure that VMware tools is installed on the template.
Create a VM Customization spec in vCenter. I like to test a manual clone using this custom spec to ensure that it is working as intended. The spec has the option to sys prep, generate new SID and join to domain.
Add the name of the custom spec to the blueprint.
If you are still having trouble, search through this community. There are several examples from previous versions but the method has not changed.

vmware tools was running. It starts executing and goes on for some time and then guest manager starts throwing the exception. This did not happen in another environment. I will submit another request and watch it to make sure vmware tools is running.

It could be because "screen DMA" has not been enabled for the VM. Try enabling it.

Mapping TCP Printers
I am having some issue with setting up TCP printers in UEM. I wanted to ask the community what approach would ensure TCP printers are setup for UEM end users upon logon. I tried an approach that worked initially with my test AD account but failed with a production AD account. I provide detail on this approach below.
I figured adding printers would be simple in UEM, however UEM only maps shared printers natively. As an alternate approach, I created a batch script to map tcp/ip ports and printers which I embed in the AppData folder using the UEM File & Folders feature. I embed this script one folder into the template Appdata folder that is represented in UEM. The script ends up in “%HOMEPATH%\AppData\Roaming\BusinessPrinters\BizPrinters.bat”. This script below is called as part of Logon task in UEM. I made sure script was copied before profile import and script is run after profile import. However when I check the printer with prod AD account no printer have been mapped.

ESXi downgrade?
I have a server ML150 G6 as lab testing environment.
Storage is 4x1TB SAS drives in RAID 10 and ESXi is installed on a USB-stick.
In the current situation we run ESXi 6.5 and everything seems OK except, we have problems with our controller (P410), the status is unknown and when we run the CLI: "hpssacli ctrl all show config" it says: No controllers found.
I have tried installing the latest VIB drivers from HP but it does not work. The driver installs, server reboots but still No controllers found.
I discovered that the P410 is not supported in 6.5 so I tried to downgrade to HP custom ISO 6.0 U3. The installation stops and I get a purple screen that says:
CPU 4: no heartbeat (3/3 IPIS revieved) ...
Can I install the usual 6.0 ISO from VMware and get support for our P410?
Or how do I get around this problem?

I don't fully understand you question, but there should be no problem in routing public IP addresses. After all, an IP address is just an IP address.
To begin with, can you successfully ping between the router and the NSX Edge?
